I was having a conversation about trying to relax and not think about the every day stresses of life, and “your happy place” came up. I’m sure you all have heard the phrase; if not in Happy Gilmore then somewhere else in your journey of life.
Your happy place really needs to be a thing, not only to help you mentally escape from life for a little bit, but also to inspire your creative energy to flow out of you. For those that enjoy art, creating art and writing, imagining your happy place will open up your feelers and allow your mind to relax. So I started thinking about my happy place and even though I love the ocean, it seems my go to happy place would be deep in the center of a forest, inside a cherry blossom tree, surrounded by fresh grass, warm moist air, and chirpping birds in the background. There would be a hammock that when you sat in it would swing on its own, gently being pushed by the warm breezes in this happy place. Naps would not take time, the clock would just pause while resting and re-energizing; after all, time wouldn’t exist here. I would also imagine that is where Spring lives, and she comes out when called upon, and blows her warm winds where it is cold and snowy to melt away the snow and bring on new life.
I could go on and on. Now it’s time to get back to daily life and close my happy place door. I’ll come back later and visit, I promise. 💜
