Taglines

For those who have not read my stories, I figured it’s about time I tell you why you should. I’m a product manager for a software company by trade, and as a PM I probably should have a tagline for my stories, but I don’t really. So let’s see if I can share one that just might capture the essence of my work.

I think the more shocking news I see the more I’m attracted to even more gentle story telling. I’m not one for the “shock factor” approach, as can be seen by my work (even though I’ve lately taken an interest in the viral Squid Games series!).

My art work is free hand acrylic paintings, each page uniquely created on a feeling at the time when my words and my emotions mix together – a kind of explosion you could say. Picture lots of wind dancing together, or waves crashing together madly. That’s what is happening in my head. My work is geared towards children; calming, soothing, gets your feelers going. Having said that, I’ve had lots of adults buy my books.

I feel stories don’t have an age limit – if a story makes you feel, talks to your soul, and soothes your thoughts, then read away. Maybe it pulls you back to your childhood years – after all, we all have that inner child within. I also value the good old simple brush and paint technique for illustrations. Digital art is amazing, but everything in life is so digital, and we must not loose sight of the beauty of free hand painting.

To conclude, if I used my PM brain and gave my work a tagline, it would probably go something like this…. “art + kind words = feel good stories that calm the spirit”. Or something like that 😉
