The Perfection of Imperfection

Have you ever looked at something and thought it’s imperfect, but perfect at the same time? That’s how I look at painting, life, nature. When I finally looked outside myself and took the harsh judgment away, and accepted the imperfections I have, the imperfections in my work, in life, in my creations, in my experiences, I realized the imperfections that I saw made all of the above perfect. My stories that share my feelings, my own words that express my thoughts, can be looked at as imperfections to one, but perfect to another.

It’s the imperfections, hiccups, bumps in the road that shape us to who we are today. If you take the time to accept the imperfections and see them for what they are, then you too will think they are actually perfect. I painted my sunrise, wildly, with mixing colors, without much plan, with imperfections that one may see, but it came out perfect to me. Accept your imperfections in your life and you too will see the beauty and perfection in those imperfections. I’m excited to keep creating my Grandfather Tree story and look forward to sharing it, with all its perfect imperfections. Happy Friday!
