I went to the art store yesterday, giddy and excited to start picking my colors for my next story. Going art supply shopping for me is like being a kid in a candy store. That moves me. That inspires me. If I am feeling blue, had a bad dream, need a positive boost, art and writing is my escape. Bringing words to life with painting is amazing. And I’ll be honest, I follow amazing writers, amazing artists, creators, and I used to be intimidated. Will anyone like what I write? What I paint? Does it matter? The answer is no, it doesn’t. Because it moves me to create. My style, my words, my feelings, typed out in a story; my emotions painted onto paper. Every letter that goes into my stories, every tiny droplet of paint, has been created by me. That moves me. That makes me feel alive. What makes you feel alive? If you don’t know, then explore. Because life is short and at some point we will not be here anymore, so let’s make the best of it and live life to its fullest. Doesn’t mean you have to make a million dollars, doesn’t mean you have to be famous, doesn’t mean you have to travel to every part of the world. It just means to find out what moves you and do it before you can’t. Now, excuse me while I loose myself in painting my next story!
