A Day To Celebrate

Happy Earth Day!

Today is a special day. Earth day should really be celebrated every day, not just today, so we don’t so easily forget how brilliant our planet is. Looking at all these posts about Mars recently just makes me appreciate how perfect our planet is. We have water, sunshine, warmth, food, the ability to grow food in Earth’s rich soil…I could go on and on and on. Sometimes you literally have to stop and smell the flowers; get your feet wet, enjoy the sun, breathe the air. I know I need to do a better job, every day, recognizing how amazing our planet is, because it really is easy to get busy and forget how fortunate we are to be living on our Earth.

The Little Seed was inspired by an amazing local park, Erna Nixon Park. The park is named after an amazing woman who was passionate about preserving over fifty-three acres of land for future generations. Thanks to her, we have an amazing retreat to walk through where the trees swallow you up and the lush vegetation hugs you as you make your way through the park. It all started from little seeds, didn’t it? Tiny little seeds that were loved by mother nature on our beautiful planet Earth.

“A little seed drifted onto the ground,
it came with the wind,
without any sound.
Now Mother Nature has started to love
the little seed
that came from above.” – The Little Seed
