April is National Poetry Month, and that is just fantastic. Poetry is such a beautiful way of expressing feelings and thoughts. Capturing and expressing your feelings in writing is amazing in itself, but with poetry it’s like a super bonus. I love it. It may not be everyone’s forte, but, as can be seen by my writing, I sure do love some poetry.
Below is a snip it from my book Let’s Go To Mars! that will be available very soon. Let’s Go To Mars! was inspired by my son (and of course the Mars rover that just landed not long ago). Let’s Go To Mars! is a fun and imaginative story about a boy who builds his own rocket and goes to Mars. Along the way you learn about the main parts of a rocket. Stay tuned for more! Enjoy!
The light gets closer and closer, and comes into my sight.
The light I saw was the Mars rover, that landed long ago.
We say hi and catch up, then she tells me all I need to know.
