I don’t know if it’s the need for some positive, happy vibes or the excitement of the holidays being around the corner, but I was really craving to write and paint a Christmas story and my craving has been fulfilled. “Christmas Time Is Almost Here” is complete and published. Now I’m really in the mood for the holidays!
The best thing about writing and painting is you become lost in your work – it takes you away from negativity, sorrow, pain, anxiety, worry. Christmas Time Is Almost Here brings back childhood memories for me. My family and I would go every Christmas to pick out a Christmas tree and bring it home. Christmas memories to me are of snowy, cold, New England winters, the smell of fresh pine needles, hot cocoa, warm cookies, and the warmth of home and family. I count my blessings each and every day; even though times may have been tough with family or finances, I choose to always look towards the positive memories of my childhood, and recreate these wonderful memories for my family now. Hopefully this story will allow children (and adults) to connect to their childhood memories of this special time of year.
