Good morning! I am excited to announce I have finished and published my next book! “If You Were A Whale” is very dear to my heart because it has been dedicated to my mother. My mother has been battling stage IV breast cancer for 4+ years now. I feel blessed, every single day, that she is still with us knowing the extent of her cancer. Without going into tearful details, I dedicated “If You Were A Whale” to my mother for the sole purpose that the whale represents a strong, powerful, unstoppable force; that is what mom has been these past years. Not only strong, the whale also represents comfort and safety, which our guardians provide us, even later in late.
“If you were a whale,
Would you swim up to me in the deep ocean blue?
Would you stick by my side,
Like a big heap of glue?
To make sure I am safe in this grand deep blue sea,
Would you swim by my side, even though you were free?”
This excerpt from the book is beautiful and can relate to anyone in your life who is your partner or guardian; even when they are free from living with us on Earth, will they still be by our sides?
The ocean holds such life and energy, and I hope that when our loved ones do become free, that they will still be by our sides. To all those whose heart aches from loss of a loved one or who are in the process of loosing a loved one, may your heart be forever full with the kind thought that our loved ones do truly stay by our sides when they are set free.
“If You Were A Whale” is an easy light-hearted feel with a deeper message underneath all the words and illustration. A book full of fun, good feelings. Hope you enjoy!
